HOMES FOR LIFE
A safe space for those
facing harsh realities
A home for life provides a safe space for women and their children who are enduring the harsh realities of extreme poverty and life’s many challenges. Women are amongst the most vulnerable communities when disaster strikes. Often burdened by the responsibilities of supporting home and family, women become sidelined and left without any support. Forgotten Women upholds a strict ethical code, ensuring zero tolerance for exploitation. To honour our safe aid policy, only women deliver aid, ensuring women-to-women support and protection.

Homeless and Helpless: The Harsh Reality
for Women Without Shelter
Daytime brings extreme heat, and nighttime, the threat of harassment—homeless women and children endure relentless challenges daily. The shadows of poverty are deep, often leading to the dangers of trafficking where vulnerable women are deceived and children are coerced into exploitative industries. Many find themselves without shelter, exposed to every element of danger along the roadside.
Our Homes for Life initiative aims to provide safe, secure housing to protect and empower these women and children, giving them a foundation to rebuild their lives away from harm.
Without shelter, women are highly vulnerable to violence and abuse. Ensuring
their safety and dignity is critical. Common causes of homelessness include:

Extreme poverty

Domestic abuse

Divorce

Mental health
