In light of the recent riots in the UK, we understand people are concerned for their own safety, and the safety of their loved ones. We feel this too. While the perpetrators seek to divide our nation through hate and discrimination, it’s been heartwarming to see communities come together to make a stand against these toxic, racist, and Islamophobic ideologies.
However, despite these shows of solidarity across the nation, the threat to Muslim and minority ethnic communities remains real, especially for women and girls. Therefore, it’s important to take precautions and ‘tie our camel’ the best we can to help minimise these risks to our safety.
Nobody wants to be confined to their homes out of fear. We all have lives to lead and responsibilities.
Therefore, we’ve put together a few tips for you and your loved ones in a handy graphic below.
Remember, if you ever feel immediately under threat, don’t delay and call 999.
