Miles in the Dark, Every Night.
In many villages across Sindh, women used to walk miles at night just to relieve themselves. They risked harassment, snake bites, and humiliation every single day. Mothers would send their daughters out in groups, holding hands in fear. Privacy was a luxury; safety was a dream.
For these communities, something as basic as a toilet did not exist within reach. The danger fell hardest on women and girls, shaping their days and stealing their nights, with no safe option anywhere close to home.

200 Safe Spaces, Five Districts.
“For the first time, we don’t have to wait for the dark.”
Across five districts. Umerkot, Tharparkar, Badin, Khairpur, and Sanghar more than 200 safe toilets were built for women. Small spaces with big meaning. For the first time, women could relieve themselves in safety and dignity. Girls could attend school without the daily struggle. Families could focus on life, not survival. It started with toilets, but what it restored was humanity.
