Trips Abroad With Forgotten Women

👉 A 5 days trip to visit:
📌 Damascus, Homs, Hama, Aleppo, Azaz and Idlib.
We shall be carrying out Food distribution, Bread Distribution and handing over shops to widows.

We shall also be visiting places of interest including:
✅ Umawi (Umayyad Masjid) where Isa A.S. will come
✅ Prophet Yahya A.S. buried there
✅ Visit to Nourdeen Zangi’s Masjid and he is also buried there
✅ Visit to Salauddin Ayubi’s Masjid
✅ The Syrian Castle
✅ Khalid bin Walid Masjid and he is buried with his son there

⚠️ ### *Travel Advice – Forgotten Women Trip to Syria (March 2025)*
At Forgotten Women, we organise charity trips to various countries, prioritising the *safety and security* of our team members and volunteers while delivering aid to women in hard-to-reach areas. Our security assessments are *thorough and hands-on—we personally visit these locations and consult with **trusted ground teams* to ensure conditions are safe before each trip.

We work closely with the *UK arm of our charity, partnering with teams we have known and collaborated with for years. Many women’s groups have successfully traveled with us in previous years, and **another female team is set to visit Syria later in March*, reinforcing our ongoing commitment to providing aid where it is most needed.

Our *local partners in Syria* are also from the UK, with their *wives, sisters, and daughters* living there. They have extensive experience in *ensuring the safety and well-being of our female volunteers* and will be dedicated to looking after our group.

### *Previous Experience in Syria*
Following the transition to the new government, we traveled to Syria, entering via Beirut. We visited *Damascus, Gouta, Yarmouk, Homs, Hama, and Aleppo—areas that had been **devastated by the previous regime but were safe for aid distribution.*

During our visit, a *security advisory led to a minor detour on the route from Aleppo to Azaz, but all destinations we worked in remained safe and accessible. Our teams successfully **distributed food and essential supplies* without incident.

### *Travel Advisory & Personal Responsibility*
Government-issued travel advisories are designed for *general travellers and often lean toward caution. We encourage all participants to **review official advice* and make an *informed decision* based on the security measures we have in place and the real-time assessments from our trusted local teams.

✅ We shall be arranging an Iftar in Masjid Al Aqsa, carrying out food distribution, visiting the injured from Gaza.
