Water Wells – Forgotten Women

Wells of Dignity Provide Clean Water for All

A Drop of Hope: Fund a Well

Females are the primary water carriers in many countries, with 2.1 billion people struggling for water daily. In some regions, women and girls walk up to 3 hours at night to fetch water, facing dangers like violence and abduction.

In Malawi’s Kalambule village, women accessed water only at night under strict conditions. Forgotten Women built Wells of Dignity, providing safe, unrestricted water to Kalambule and nearby villages. As the well was completed, women sighed in relief, knowing their suffering had ended.

Build a Well, Empower a Community

In many communities, women and children walk miles daily for water, struggling to survive. Wells of Dignity provides a solution by building wells efficiently through local supply chains. By employing local labor, we create jobs and ensure lasting access to clean water.

Create Lasting Impact with Sadaqah Jariyah

The Prophet ﷺ said:
“When a person dies, their deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah), beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for them.”

— Sahih Muslim (1631)
